Founded in 2016, Klexos is one of the most promising emerging ensembles on the national and international scene in the field of new contemporary musical creation. Committed to innovation and working hand in hand with young composers, they are an example of the new generation of performers involved in contemporary thought, in contact with the innovations arising from avant-garde movements throughout Europe.

Zeugen arises from the interpretive need to address expressiveness through two of the youngest instruments Western culture has offered us. The saxophone and the percussion, through their versatile qualities, offer a wide range of sound capabilities that have evolved over the last 120 years. Moliner and Tena, as witnesses of their time, represent a constantly evolving formation whose maximum ambition is expression through performative experimentation processes.

Mª Dolores Revilla and Carlos Tena have researched and carried out projects studying and experimenting with the musical performance accompanied by other resources (such as theater and painting), combining in the same experience the stimulation of different senses as a global phenomenon. In this way, the concept of essence becomes the main personal and musical search engine, seeking a common thread and cohesion in the exposition of each program.

KlexosLab is a contemporary music festival and music performance course for composers and saxophonists of any age and level who wish to broaden their musical training. All this in a pleasant working environment with teachers of the highest level and international recognition.

This project is designed to help composers from all over the world promote, expand and innovate in the contemporary musical repertoire. Nodus is aimed at composers of all nationalities and ages. The selected composers will have a week of residency at Les Coves de Vinromà, with David Moliner and Carlos Tena acting as expert coordinators.
